Indonesia’s Import & Export of Ferroalloys in May 2020

Indonesia’s foreign trade statistics shows the import volume of main ferroalloys in May 2020 was 77,614 tons, drastically up by a factor of 2.4 from the prior month. Although the import of both high-carbon and low-carbon ferromanganese, ferro-silicon, and silico manganese declined from the prior month, high-carbon ferro-chrome increased drastically. As a result, the total import volume increased from the prior month. On the one hand, the export volume in May was 211,239 tons, up by 5.4% from the prior month. The export of ferro-nickel slightly increased from the prior month. The import details of main ferroalloys are as shown in Table 1 and the export details in Table 2 respectively.
