On May 11, CONSOL Energy Inc. made it clear that the Company drew up the goal for its coal sales volume in 2020 to be the range of 24.5 million tons to 26.5 million tons. Since the coal sales volume in 2019 was 27.3 million tons, this represents a decrease of the range of 800,000 tons to 2.8 million tons versus the prior year. Besides, CONSOL Energy started coal production at Itmann coal mine, a new metallurgical coal mine in West Virginia in April. At the said coal mine, 600,000 tons of coal will be produced annually over a period of 25-plus years.
