Pharmacy organisations promote role of pharmacy in long-term future of NHS

Several pharmacy organisations are lobbying for the role of community pharmacy in England in their responses to a consultation on the long-term plan for the NHS. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is recommending that NHS health checks - the general screening programme for everyone aged 40-74 years in England - should be commissioned nationally and be made available through high street pharmacies.
