Raising the pressure on hypertension

摘要

A recent Lancet Editorial (April 6, p 1157) focused on the need to more effectively prevent and treat hypertension, stressing that high blood pressure is the leading risk factor for global disease burden. It also pointed out that WHO has proposed a 25% relative reduction in prevalence of raised blood pressure, and called for a reduction of risk factors in the population.
