摘要

Our modern society is based essentially on a large number of diverse types of materials with varying properties including ceramics, nanotubes, polymers, core-shell systems, advanced or biomaterials. Numerous applications of these materials are found in electronic devices, chips, sensors, fuel cells, energetic sources, drugs, i.e., in almost everything we use daily. This is certainly an interesting but wide area of expertise. Thus, we have invited subject matter expert scientists with different expertise to filter out the literature in their works and contribute overviews of the field in their respective areas. We will continue to provide a final 'summarized idea' of the exciting research published by the selected/invited scientists in this Special Thematic Issue, of which this is Part VI (and the final one).
