This month's American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinician Profile features Thomas M. Best, M.D., Ph.D., FACSM, who is the co-medical director of The Ohio State University (OSU) Sports Medicine Center, professor and chair in Family Medicine, director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, team physician for the OSU men's ice hockey team, and consultant to American and Canadian national hockey teams. A graduate of The University of Windsor (Canada), Dr. Best attended medical school at The University of Western Ontario. In addition to his medical training, he holds a master's degree in kinesiology and a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Duke University.
