摘要

Genetic diversity of five Sinorhizobia from a medicinallegume, i.e. Mucuna pruriens was investigated usingARDRA analysis. All five strains were isolated onYEMA which showed pink colour on CrYEMA, tole-rated 2% NaCI and precipitated calcium glycerophos-phate. The isolates were analysed using restrictionpatterns produced by amplified DNA coding for 16SrDNA (ARDRA) and were placed into two genotypes.AH five isolates belonged to a single cluster. A distinctsimilarity was observed between the RAPD and 16SrDNA RFLP analysis. Nodulation and nitrogen-fixingabilities of the strains were confirmed by amplifica-tion of 500bp node and 781 bp ni/H fragments respec-tively. All five isolates solubilized inorganic insolublephosphate, produced IAA and did not produce HCN.Strains MPR3 and MPR4 produced siderophore andinhibited fungal pathogens, Macrophomina phaseolinaand Fusarium oxysporum. The study showed that thereis considerable homogeneity amongst M. pruriens root-nodule isolates.
