Ventral Hernia with Evisceration in a Roller Pigeon (Columba Livid)and its Surgical Management

A two year old roller pigeon was brought toTeaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Mannuthy with a history of a wound on the vent region resulting in protrusion of abdominal viscera. Condition was diagnosed as ventral hernia with evisceration, and herniorrhapphy was performed under ketamine anaesthesia. The bird recovered uneventfully.
