MALAYSIA IChemE Malaysia Board visits Royal Patron

EARLIER this month,members of IChemE's Malaysia Board visited Her Royal Highness Queen of Perak Darul Ridzuan,Tuanku Zara Salim,a chemical engineer and the Royal Patron of IChemE in Malaysia.During the visit,Board Chair Law Chung Lim informed Her Royal Highness that Malaysia has around 400 Chartered IChemE Members,and the amount is increasing by almost 10% annually.The Board's Honorary Secretary Hong Wai Onn noted that IChemE Malaysia has a high percentage(43%)of female members.He additionally mentioned that IChemE has 15 student chapters at universities.There are 24 universities in the country that offer chemical engineering degrees.
