On November 6, Whitehaven Coal Ltd. (WHC) announced its decision to acquire a 30% interest in Tarrawongacoal mine, an existing coal mine in the State of NSW from Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd.At the moment, the interest in Tarrawonga coal mine is 70% owned by WHC and 30% by Idemitsu Kosanrespectively. Hence, upon completion of transfer of the said interest, WHC’s interest holding ratio in this coal mine will goup to 100%.
