WHC to Take Part in Metallurgical Coal Export Business in QLD

Whitehaven Coal Ltd. (WHC), Australia is expected to take part in the export business for metallurgical coal inthe State of QLD in the near future.WHC has made a decision to acquire a 100% interest in Winchester South mining area, an unexplored metallurgicalcoal mining area in the State of QLD from Rio Tinto Limited and so on since entering 2018 so that it can take partin the export business for metallurgical coal in this state. Transfer of this interest is scheduled for completion in the latterhalf of 2018.
