Japan’s INPEX Starts LNG Shipment from Australia’s Ichthys PJ

Japan’s INPEX Corporation announced on 23rd that it has started LNG shipping from the Ichthys LNG project, northern Australia that the Company serves as the operator. It shipped LNG produced at an onshore liquefaction terminal in Darwin by an LNG carrier “Pacific Breeze.” The project plans to ramp up the production volume in the next two to three years -- in the full operation, the project produces 8.9 million mt a year of LNG, about over 10% of Japan’s total LNG imports.
