QCoal Produces 9.15 Million Tons of Saleable Coal in FY2019/20

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Mines of the State of QLD, Australia, QCoal Pty Ltd., an independently owned coal mining company in the said country produced a total of 9.149 million tons (based on a 100% interest, and the same applies hereinafter) of saleable coal in FY2019/20 (one year ending 30 June 2020). This represents an increase of 1.215 million tons (20.3%) versus the prior fiscal year. The production volume by coal type was 3.65 million tons of metallurgical coal (up by 88.9% from the prior fiscal year) and 5.499 million tons of thermal coal (down by 6.8%), and the metallurgical coal production was doubled. The reason why the metallurgical coal production was doubled was because the operation of Byerwen open-cut coal mine as a QCoal’s flagship coal mine got into full swing.
