MMC’s Coal Production and Sales during April to June Drop Sharply

The coal production and sales by Mongolian Mining Corporation (MMC), the biggest private coal mining company in Mongolia dropped sharply in the period from April to June in 2020. In fact, MMC’s production volume of raw coal during April to June was only 614,000 tons, down by as much as 1.956 million tons (76.1%) from the year-earlier period. Besides, 722,000 tons of raw coal was prepared at the coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) during April to June, and 357,000 tons of metallurgical coal was produced. When compared with the year-earlier period, the former was down by 1.517 million tons (67.8%) and the latter was down by 771,000 tons (68.4%).
