Bumi Resources Produces 41 Million Tons of Raw Coal in Former Half

PT Bumi Resources Tbk, a major energy company in Indonesia produced 41 million tons of raw coal (based on a 100% interest, and the same applies hereinafter) in the former half (January – June) of 2020. This represents an increase of 1.9 million tons (4.9%) versus the year-earlier period. Bumi Resources has been developing the coal business in Indonesia through its subsidiaries, PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) and PT Arutmin Indonesia. Bumi Resources holds a 51% stake in KPC and a 90% stake in Arutmin respectively. The production volume of raw coal in the former half of 2020 was 29.4 million tons by KPC (up by 2.8% from the year-earlier period) and 11.6 million tons by Arutmin (up by 10.5%).
