Japan’s fuel oil prices for coastal shipping for the quarter between October and December 2019 have been determined. Tabuchi Kaiun and Itochu Enex have finished their negotiation and agreed to set fuel oil A at 67,800 yen/kl, up by 1,000 yen (1.5%) from the previous quarter, fuel oil C at 52,200 yen/kl, down by 850 yen (1.6%). They also discussed a fuel with below 0.5% sulfur which is compliant with IMO regulation to be effective in January 2020, and agreed to set at 63,500 yen/kl.
