Port Arthur LNG Expansion Project Files for Export Permission

Port Arthur LNG Phase II LLC (PALNG Phase II) that is advancing the Port Arthur expansion project in the US filed for LNG export permission to the Department of Energy (DOE). The company requested DOE to authorize exports of approximately 13.5 million mt a year of LNG from Trains 3 and 4, the same as already-approved Trains 1 and 2, to FTA and non-FTA countries. It also requested for DOE’s authorization to FTA no later than June 1st this year, to non-FTA countries no later than April 1st, 2021.
