Woodside Petroleum Postpones FIDs for Scarborough and Pluto Expansion

Woodside Petroleum on 27th announced its intention to postpone final investment decisions (FIDs) for the Scarborough gas development and the Pluto LNG expansion project to 2021. Amid increasing uncertainty caused by the coronavirus outbreak, and drastically declining crude oil prices, the company decided to save expenditures to be ready for the market improvement. The Scarborough and the Pluto expansion projects had planned to make an FID by the end of 2020. Woodside, which is advancing the two projects as the operator, also decided a postponement of the FID for the Browse project that the company is involved in as the operator too.
