On February 14 local time, Arch Coal Inc., USA announced that it worked on the exploitation of Leer Southmining area, a new metallurgical coal mining area in West Virginia.Leer South mining area is an underground mining area adjoining the south side of Leer underground coal mineoperated by Arch Coal, and the coal reserves are about 200 million tons.Arch Coal has a plan to exploit Leer South mining area by spending its funds in the range of US$360 million toUS$390 million in the coming 3 years. Premium HV A coking coal will be produced at this mining area as is the case inLeer coal mine.
