MOL and Partners Aiming to Win FSRU Deal for Project in Cyprus

It was revealed that Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Osaka Gas are aiming to deploy their Floating Storage andRegasification Unit (FSRU) to a planned offshore LNG import project in Cyprus. They, partnering with South Koreancompanies, submitted proposals to Natural Gas Public Company (DEFA)’s tender to deploy an FSRU and constructberths and related facilities.The South Korean partners are Samsung C&T and Posco E&C. Other than the group, a joint venture betweenChina Petroleum Pipeline Engineering, AKTOR, and METRON, and a European consortium between Gaslog, ENAGAS,etc. submitted offers. The three groups are competing to win the deal.
