Gaslog to Supply 4 LNG Newbuildings to Cheniere

Monaco-headquartered LNG shipping firm Gaslog is planning to deliver four LNG newbuildings to Cheniere Marketing, a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy. They signed last August a seven-year charter deal on two newbuildings and Cheniere executed an option on construction of additional two in December. All the four vessels are constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea. The initial two (HN2300, HN2301) for the original deal signed in August, each with low pressure two stroke propulsion called LP-2S, a 174,000- cubic-meter tank, are planned to be delivered in late 2020.
