Coronado Global Resources Inc., USA has a plan to expand the production volume of saleable coal at Curraghcoal mine, an existing metallurgical coal mine in the State of QLD, Australia to 15Mtpa as of the year 2023 by spendingUS$ 80 million to US$100 million.Curragh coal mine is a large-scale open-cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin in the State of QLD and located 30 kmto the north of Blackwater.Coronado Global Resources took over multiple coal assets including Curragh coal mine for a total of A$700 millionfrom Wesfarmers Limited on 29 March 2018 and newly entered into the export business for metallurgical coal in Austra-lia.
