Venture Global’s Plaquemines LNG PJ Gets Green Light

The Louisiana-based Plaquemines LNG project got a nod from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The Venture Global LNG’s second LNG project will produce 20 million mt combined per annum of LNG (maximum of 24 mtpa) in phases 1 and 2. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2023. Approximately 10 mtpa of LNG will be produced in the first phase through nine 1.1-mtpa small-scale units called liquefaction blocks. In addition to these units, two 200,000-cubicmeter tanks, two LNG berths, and other facilities will be constructed in the phase.
