Peabody Energy and Glencore to Set up JV within Year

On July 31 local time, Peabody Energy Corporation, USA made clear its plan to set up United Wambo jointventure (JV) with Glencore plc within the year 2019.Both companies will end up promoting United Wambo JV project in the State of NSW, Australia through UnitedWambo JV.United Wambo JV project aims to integrate Wambo open-cut coal mine Peabody Energy operates in the HunterValley region in the State of NSW and Glencore’s United coal mine adjoining this coal mine, and make a blanket develop-ment of both coal mines and unexplored mining areas in the vicinity of both coal mines, of which United coal mine hasbeen placed on care & maintenance condition since the year 2010.
