WHC to Expand Raw Coal Production to Maximum of 50Mtpa

Whitehaven Coal Ltd. (WHC), Australia has a plan to expand its production volume of raw coal (based on a 100% interest, and the same applies hereinafter) to 50Mtpa as of FY2029/30 (one year ending 30 June 2030). WHC’s production volume of raw coal in FY2018/19 was 23.223 million tons. The raw coal production in FY2019/ 20 is expected to be in the range of 22.0 million tons to 23.5 million tons. Hence, the Company will end up increasing the production volume of raw coal by about 2.2 times in 10 years to come. WHC is now running Maules Creek open-cut coal mine, Narrabri underground coal mine and Gunnedah Open Cut Mines in the Gunnedah Basin in the State of NSW.
