CNPC-Led Consortium Wins Priority for Construction of Cyprus FSRU Terminal

Natural Gas Public Company (DEFA) has selected China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering (CPPE)’s consortium as preferred bidder for construction of an LNG import terminal, according to an announcement by DEFA. On 26th, Lithuania-based Klaipedos nafta, a participant of the tender, commented, “Another consortium was selected as winning.” CPPE participated in the tender through a consortium with AKTOR and METRON. DEFA commented; “We are pleased to see the successful outcome of the process,” expressing its expectation that the new import terminal could contribute to economic growth in Cyprus.
