Spot Price of Premium LV Hard Coking Coal Drops Sharply

As a result of the fact that the spot export market for metallurgical coal in the Asian region has got weakened sharply in price, the spot export price (FOB: US$/MT) of premium LV hard coking coal produced in the State of QLD, Australia has dropped sharply. As a matter of fact, 85,000 tons of premium LV hard coking coal (HCCLV) as December delivery was contracted at US$133.50 in the spot market for hard coking coal managed by Global Coal Limited (GC) on November 6. This is the first time for premium LV hard coking coal to be contracted in this market.
