On June 13, the Department of Environment and Science (DES) of the State Government of QLD, Australiaapproved the groundwater dependent ecosystem management plan (GDEMP) for Carmichael thermal coal project drivenby Adani Group, India.Accordingly, the final barrier which hampered the coal mine development from Carmichael project was elimi-nated, as a consequence of which it has become feasible for Adani Group to work on the coal mine development.
