USEC, USGC exports down 15% in April

The yo-yo effect of U.S. coal exports so far in 2019 displayed its downward trajectory in April, leaving some to wonder if there’s enough momentum for another upswing. Data from T. Parker Host shows 6.44 million metric tonnes of coal were shipped from the U.S. East Coast and U.S. Gulf Coast in April, down 15% from a strong 7.60 million tonnes in March and down 22% from the 2018 high of 8.22 million tonnes shipped in April of last year.
