IHS Markit Chief Economist Nariman Behravesh let loose a forecast Nov. 15 that says – among other things – “the downward pressure on growth has eased – at least for the moment.” So how are things shaping up in the global world of coal? IHS Markit’s North American coal gurus – Jim Thompson and Dr. James Stevenson – held their own carbon-centric pow-wow earlier last week and the virtual attendees at the webinar asked if, indeed, any global indicators would ever look up for coal.
