Louisville Gas & Electric/Kentucky Utilities said it expects to move 500,000-600,000 tons of PRB coal per year in 2020 and 2021 to its Trimble County Unit No. 2, according to a recent bid notification. The utility took proposals through 5 p.m. Thursday for rail transportation and/or transloading services. This is in conjunction with an RFP for coal supplies issued last month that also deadlined Thursday.
