Indonesian prices rise on growing spot demand

An improvement in demand from China and India supported a rise in Indonesian prices this week. Sub-bituminous material traded at $50.00/metric tonne FOB, basis 4,800 kc NAR, for a November loading Panamax, rising from last week’s trade at $49.00/t FOB, same basis. Another deal went through at $48.00/t FOB, basis 4,700 kc NAR, also for a Panamax, higher on the week than the prior traded level of $47.50/t FOB, same basis.
