Whither science in India

摘要

C. N. R. Rao has sounded an alarm apprehending the bleak future of science in India1. Why the situation has come to such a pass possibly demands a thorough probe to unearth the underlying causes and then take remedial measures. I feel, if we look back a little, it will not be too difficult to identify some of the root causes.
