Glencore’s Jan-Sep coal output down marginally at 91 mil mt

Anglo-Swiss miner Glencore produced 91 million mt of coalover January-September, down 1% from 91.9 million mt a year earlier,the company said in its quarterly operational report Monday.Of the total, 83.3 million mt was thermal coal, 3.2 million mt wassemi-soft coal, and the remaining 4.5 million mt was coking coal.Export quality thermal coal output totaled 70.9 million mt, adecrease of 1% from the same period of 2016 where export productionwas 71.6 million mt.
