JSW sees coking coal production fall 11% in Q3, sales down 2.6%

Europe’s largest coking coal producer Jastrzebska SpolkaWeglowa (JSW) said Friday its production and sales in the thirdquarter fell 11% and 2.6% respectively on the year to 2.26 million mtand 1.44 million mt.Including thermal coal production, the company’s total coal outputin July-September dropped 5% year on year to 3.37 million mt, thecompany said in a presentation of its Q3 results. JSW CEO Daniel Ozontold a news conference that total production this year is forecast toreach 15 million mt and was expected to rise next year.
