Asia met coal prices strengthen on higher trades amid restocking demand

Singapore —S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol coal up$1.50/mt on the day at $219.50/mt FOB Australia, while the CFR Chinaprice was up $1.50/mt at $218.50/mt Thursday.In the FOB market, two trades were concluded Thursday. A tradefor 40,000 mt of Australian Premium Low Vol Saraji was done at$239.35/mt CFR Indonesia, equivalent to $227/mt FOB Australia.Another trade for 35,000 mt of Australian Premium Mid VolGoonyella was concluded at $236.35/mt CFR Indonesia, and equivalentto $224/mt FOB Australia.Both cargoes were to be co-loaded with a November laycan,sources said.
