Coal exports from Ridley Terminals in Prince Rupert, BritishColumbia, totaled 755,570 mt in August, up from the previous monthand from the year-ago month, according to data from the PrinceRupert Port Authority.The total, which combines metallurgical and thermal coal, markeda 6.9% increase from 706,639 mt in July and a 73.8% increase fromthe 434,620 mt in August 2017. It was the second-highest monthlytotal this year, behind 792,054 mt in June, as met coal demand fromNorth America strengthened on higher seaborne pricing.
