Singapore—Asia-Pacific regional metallurgical coal FOB PLV prices fell as offers were placed at lower levels on July 17, while delivered prices to China remained steady across different grades of coals. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol down $2/mt at $107/mt FOB Australia July 17, while PLV CFR China was steady at $121/mt CFR China. The spot market saw a thin trading day in the premium coking coal segment while PLV FOB prices fell as offers moved down to entice demand from buyers. A firm offer was placed at $102/mt FOB Australia globaCOAL HCCA, alongside other indicative offers heard at $101/mt FOB Australia and tradable values.
