London—Germany’s largest power generator RWE has extended the CO2 emissions hedging position of its German lignite-fired fleet from 2025 to 2030 as the company implements a new production plan after closures dates were agreed with the government, it said Thursday. “CO2 position financially hedged until end of fourth compliance period (2030),” it said in an investor presentation for its 2019 results compared to a “fully financially CO2 hedged to 2025” statement last November before the coal phase-out implementation.
