EDC: US ethylene dichloride export prices rose $5/mt week over week to be assessed at either side of $250/mt FOB USG on the back of higher ethylene prices. Higher production costs and higher freight rates to Asia have put a hold on exports to that region, sources said. Buying interest was heard in the low $300 CFR level, with a freight cost of more than $100 from the US Gulf to Asia, sources said. The ethylene price was assessed Thursday at either side of 69.5 cents/lb delivery.
