European contract linear low density prices continued to head north this week, stimulated by scaled-back rates at European PE plants. Illustrating the drive to improve margins, producers in the contract market continued to target a Eur40-50/mt increase over the ethylene increase of Eur140/mt, sources said. A source from Dow reported they had closed their order book last week and were seeking an increase of Eur280/mt on the remaining volumes.
