A European producer fixed an ethylene cargo for export to Venezuela this week, according to sources, a move which pointed to easing supply fundamentals in the European market. The cargo was fixed from ARA for September loading. Further details were not available. The last fixture to Venezuela from Europe was seen in mid-May. The ethylene market has been characterized as tight since the end of August on the back of a heavy turnaround period accompanied by scaled back utilisation rates at crackers.
