Norway approves development of Snefrid Nord gas field

London-The Norwegian energy ministry has approved the development of the Statoil-operat- ed Snefrid Nord gas field in the Norwegian Sea, a move that reflects the government’s commit- ment to further development of the region. The Snefrid gas field, discovered in 2015, is estimated to have reserves of about 5 Bcm of gas and is expected to come online in the fourth quarter of 2019 producing some 4 million cu m/d of gas.
