North Sea drilling recovery improving industry outlook: OGUK

Aberdeen-The UK North Sea is experiencing an uptick in drilling and a continued healthy influx of new corporate players, but still faces a “managed” production decline from 2021 onward, industry group Oil & Gas UK said in a report Wednesday. The industry is on track to drill 100 development wells in UK offshore waters in 2019, a level not achieved since 2015, with 70 drilled in the first seven months of the year, the group said in its annual Economic Report, to be presented at the Offshore Europe conference in Aberdeen.
