Pemex eyes Tabasco shallow water, onshore Veracruz for first exploration under AMLO

Mexico Ctiy-Potential shallow-water tieback prospects and high- pressure, high-temperature onshore exploration targets are at the center of Pemex’s first exploration efforts under President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. Mexico’s National Hydrocarbon Commission, or CNH, has approved five exploration wells across offshore Tabasco and onshore Veracruz states since the beginning of Lopez Obrador’s administration December 1. The commission said these wells will be completed before the end of the year.
