Fayha field in Basra to increase output by 50% after beginning commercial production

Basra-The Fayha oil field in southern Iraq’s Basra province has hit its 20,000 b/d commercial production target and is set to reach 30,000 b/d by the end of the year. At a ceremony in Basra on Wednesday, the consortium developing the field also praised its potential as a significant asset for Iraq, already the second largest producer in OPEC.
