Eni starts early production phase at Mexican light oil discovery

London-Italy’s Eni has started the early production phase at its recent light oil find offshore Mexico and will seek to achieve full production within two years, the company said Tuesday.In March, Eni announced a promising oil find in Mexico’s Bay of Campeche, after completing the first well drilled by an international oil major since Mexico’s 2013 Energy Reform, which opened up swathes of upstream acreage to private oil companies for the first time in over 70 years.
