SK Energy plans higher gasoil output ahead of IMO 2020

Seoul-SK Energy, South Korea’s top refiner, increased production of gasoil and gasoline in the first quarter to meet solid domestic demand and expects clean petroleum product output to continue strengthening in preparation for the global sulfur limit rule for marine fuels, a company official said. The refiner produced 28.33 million barrels of gasoil over January- March, up 11.2% from 25.47 million barrels a year earlier, and increased gasoline output to 14.69 million barrels, up 4.8% from 14.02 million barrels produced in the same period last year.
