Norway's DNO ramps up oil drilling to reverse Kurdistan declines

Oslo, Norway-Norway's DNO plans to accelerate developments in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, ramping up oil production at newer areas to counter declines at its flagship Tawke field. The fast-tracked development of the Peshkabir field is expected to boost output by another 15,000 b/d to 50,000 b/d by year-end, up from its previously published target of 30,000 b/d, the company said Thursday.
