New York-Crude futures settled higher Thurs-day in response to data showing strong US gasoline demand ahead of the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend. ICE October Brent crude futures settled 63 cents/b higher at $77.77/b, while the NYMEX October light sweet crude futures contract settled 74 cents/b higher at $70.25/b. In refined products, NYMEX September RBOB settled 4 cents/gal higher at $2.1435/gal while NYMEX September ULSD rose 1 cent/gal to settle at $2.2483/gal.
